Australia with Hubs Day 14 - Torquay to Melbourne

We were not ready for the big-city after being in the outskirts for 2 weeks. Look at the loads of people at the entrance here! The sidewalks were nuts too! After arriving in Melbourne, we walked for 5 hours, seeing everything we missed the first day.

Cool, funky alleys

China Town is quite large with nice restaurants.

Made me chuckle how big Krispy Kreme is here.
We happened upon this opal museum and were in awe of the beauty of organic opals.

Opals fossilized into wood.

Gotta say, I was happy to welcome some sushi after all the Vegemite items I have tried.

There are more coffee shops and barista training centers - they shun Starbucks because they have a grip of their coffee. Very very delicious.

Joseph would not let me buy Kangaroo or Emu jerky.

He REALLY did not let me buy these awesome back scratchers and bottle openers!

Hawaii needs to up their flavors! The Abalone was delicious!
But would you buy these frozen Abalone in an airport to take on the plane with you?

It has been an amazing trip. Every local we have met who asked where we have been, cannot believe we did all of this without a tour. I am super happy with how things all worked out and the plans were perfect. Koalas, Kangaroos, Glow Worms, Friendly People, FAIRY PENGUINS, beautiful coastlines, awesome foods, gorgeous weather, good travel companion (we only got in a few tiffs over directions) - all of it was a total blessing. Thankful and blessed.

One more fly day - 20 hours - then back to reality.
