SO fascinating. The Nobbies

The trails of the penguins..The Nobbies

CRAZY that penguins can build with pre-cut wood!

Sausage Roll

Coolest virtual experience at Antarctica Journey The Nobbies

Lovely little walk

Put some shrimp on the barby! Interesting. All the campgrounds have these electric thingys.
When we just don't want to hike anymore, we do this. (Well, I do this)

Tastings are so cheap here! All of the checked ones for $5.00 - minus 20% exchange rate!

Australia with Hubs - Day 5 Phillip Island

Pelican Feeding up close.
Our favorite things - we spent over an hour with this local, who told us many stories and lots of interesting facts. He was fishing for squid - you can see squid ink on the dock.
Crazy huge stingrays come near shore.

We came for sunset to see these amazing birds.

Cool bird tracks in the sand

Birds come in after sunset. Lovely waiting for them.

Reminded us of Hawaii - except not flooded with tourists ;)

Image result for shearwaters after sunset
These Shearwaters come in after sunset to their Burroughs - like the penguins! They migrate annually from ALASKA! Crazy! http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-05-02/phillip-island-shearwater-bird-rescue/7375100

Australia with hubs Day 4 - Phillip Island: Lovely

Lovely Little Cottage for 3 nights here

We love grocery stores in different countries - fascinated with this stuff. Supposed to be high in Vitamin B - and good for you.

Even in Aussie Land

A Koala conservation area - they wedge themselves in fork of a tree and sleep 20 hours a day.

Hope this video works! Finally one was awake!

CUTEST thing ever!!!

Hungry

Seriously - they wedge and sleep...

Looks like chocolate, yah?

CUTEST thing I ever did see! The Penguin Parade on Phillip Island - Fairy Penguins. These cuties come from the sea after a long day of fishing, and parade to their Burroughs. It takes hours and hours because there are over 30,000 of them! (Stock photo - they won't let pictures be taken)

read about it here: https://penguins.org.au/attractions/penguin-parade/

Australia with hubs 2018 - Day 3 Yarra Valley to Phillip Island

Now I see the meaning of the song "Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree"
Inn Keeper Brian feeding Kookaburras

lovely

Some people took our pic at THEIR table..

Beautiful wine country

I guess some people like to recline?

Brian the Inn Keeper told us where to go! We scared away about 10 out of this group - these were ready to jump away from us.

Highly recommend Oscar's and would have loved to stay longer

Going for it. Why not?
Our little villa at Phillip Island for 4 nights. Watched closing ceremony of Olympics and got a intimate view of the Australian athletes on the TV.
