So at work I get the call - that Earl must be ambulanced 4 hours away to Houston. Susie needs me - I leave my mess at work, go home, pack, hubby gets a one way ticket, I just make it to the plane on time...layover in Vegas..in to Houston at 12:40AM - shuttle to the hotel. Susie is driving to Houston alone - leaving Earl at the other hospital getting blood transfusions. They have to wait for the OK on a bed in Houston, then they will take him via helicopter (that dirty bum - HE gets the best ride of all of us)
Pray for Earl - pray for the doctors - pray for Susie, and pray that I can be of help. Earl's newly transplanted artificial heart valve is severly leaking, his aerota is in need of a repair and in serious danger of rupturing, and he has an infection!
He did not listen to his mother - "do it right the first time and you won't have to do it again" - oh Earl...we love you!
